Set in Brooklyn's Orthodox Jewish community, HOLY ROLLERS is a tense and taut thriller based on true events. Jesse Eisenberg (SQUID AND THE WHALE, ZOMBIELAND and the upcoming "FACEBOOK" film THE SOCIAL NETWORK) stars as Sam, a straitlaced youth who works in his father's fabric shop and is preparing to become a Rabbi. When he is rejected by the family of the young girl he expected to be matched up with, Sam is lured into becoming an international Ecstasy dealer by his pal Yosef-played by Justin Bartha (THE HANGOVER,NATIONAL TREASURE)-who has ties to an Israel drug cartel. As he evolves from an innocent "mule" and sinks deeper into the smuggling underworld, Sam wonders whether he will ever reconnect with his former life, family and traditions again. HOLY ROLLERS has played all the US markets since its opening in New York and Los Angeles May 21st.   Sky Island is also working with Walking Shadows Distribution on the national release of  THE NATURE OF THE UNIVERSE.by filmmaker Roger Nygard  who directed TREKKIES and TREKKIES 2 which explored the Star Trek phenomenon. In this film he takes a trek of his own to discover the meaning of life as he interviews holy men and women from around the world.   Nygard’s travels highlight the words of such luminary figures as Indian holy man Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (The Art of Living), evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins (The God Delusion), Chinese Taoist Master Zhang Chengda, Stanford physicist Leonard Susskind (co-discoverer of string theory), wrestler Rob Adonis (founder of Ultimate Christian Wrestling), confrontational evangelist Brother Jed Smock, novelist Orson Scott Card (Ender’s Game), director Irvin Kershner (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back), and Stonehenge Druids Rollo Maughfling & King Arthur Pendragon and many more….   THE NATURE OF THE EXISTENCE opened in New York on June 18th and Los Angeles on July 2nd.
